FAQ:

1. Where are you?

For parties of up to 15 people, our regular base is a studio just outside the city centre, about a 5 minute drive from Central Station. There is plenty of parking there. Please note that visits are strictly by pre-arranged appointment ONLY, and DO NOT take place at our registered address. We will give you details on where to come once the booking is confirmed.

2. Can I see it before I book?

Sorry, we only take visits from clients who have booked a session.

3. Are you accessible to people with mobility issues?

The whole studio is on the ground floor, with parking right outside. We have welcomed many people who use wheelchairs or have other mobility issues.

4. Do you use other venues?

For parties of more than 15 people, we have used other venues near the city centre, notably Chapter Arts in Canton and the Gate in Roath. If you're holding, say, a corporate event in a hotel, we can come to a conference room there and hold your party. Bookings like this come under our "Supersize" option at £300 plus venue hire.

5. Can I bring food and drink?

Yes, many clients choose the "White Label" option and bring their own food and drink. This is cheaper for them and easier for us! We keep all food in the reception area and you are required to bring any cups, plates, napkins, etc and to clean up afterwards.

6. Can I bring alcohol?

For adult parties, of course! However, anyone who becomes too intoxicated will be asked to leave. Please bear in mind that this is a professional studio, or, if at another venue, professional equipment and any damage caused will be charged to the client.

7. What deposit do you need?

For a Space Experience, the voucher is bought in advance, is valid for six months and is non-refundable.

For a party, £50 deposit is required on booking (this can be taken by card over the phone) and the balance is payable on the day by card, cash or cheque.

For a "Supersize" party, £100 deposit is required on booking and the balance on the day.

8. How many songs can we record?

We aim for two songs on all sessions. These must be agreed in advance with us and people are encouraged to practice!

9. Can we have longer than two hours?

We find that two hours is the perfect length for all parties, whether for children or adults. This includes rest breaks. If we have time on the day, extra hours are available at £50 per hour.

10. Can the guest of honour sing a solo?

Of course, if they want! Or duets or trios. Jessica coaches even the most nervous soloists through their part. Solos are recorded seperately once all the group parts are done.

We accept cash, credit cards, or cheques made out to Space Studios Ltd, accompanied by a guarantee card. Please ask for details.
